STARTUP BOOTCAMP

Startup Bootcamp,  a 2 day workshop organized by Young Leaders Entrepreneurship Forum (YELF) and Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NTFE) happened at KCM premises on the 17th and 18th of July,2015 following the lean methodology where 19 participants presented their ideas. Some of the ideas among the 19 pitches were ecommerce lifestyle store, second hand online web bazaar, fresh food delivery and GPS tracking device to Montessori vans. Five best business ideas were taken forward via voting from the participants and teams formed for them. The facilitator for the event was MrPrasitDhakal, who has been working with Morning Star Inc for the past 4 years.
MrDhakal explained the scientific LEAN methodology to startup a business to the participants and audience. LEAN Startup had three processes: assumption, testing and iteration. The participants then made a Minimal Viable Product (MVP) according to the lean methodology and made a canvas model to present the benefits of their products to the society.
ChandanNemkul and AyashaShrestha from Kathmandu University School of Management (KUSOM), who worked on GPS tracking for Montessori vans, were declared winners bagging a cash prize of Rs 25,000 for their business idea and execution plans.
