Kathmandu College of Management is not only Nepal's pioneering college of management and business studies, it has also maintained its reputation as the topmost college for both these subjects since its inception 16 years ago when it first introduced the Bachelor in Business Administration programme. This is evidenced by the fact that it continues to remain the college of first choice for students interested in pursuing business education as well as of the best minds for whom being a part of the faculty at KCM is a matter of prestige.
The task of preparing efficient managers in the complex and competitive environment of today presents an immense challenge. Even more daunting is the task of generating sensitivity among students that having good human values is essential to become a good manager. To this end, KCM has always focused on all-round personality development through a proper blending of curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities so as to achieve the right mix of academic proficiency, professional ability and humanitarian values in KCM graduates.
While KCM teachers have adopted innovative approaches in teaching methodology, their scope is by no means confined to the classroom. After assessing the needs of individual students, the faculty provides personalized services, acting in the capacity of guides. In addition to the efforts of teachers, the seniors at KCM are also engaged in mentoring freshman and sophomore batches. The Student Council organizes numerous cultural and social-work activities which presents opportunities to students to be innovative and also develop a social conscious. A combination of the teaching methodologies as well as the wide range of co and extra -curricular activities have not only taught our students well but also provided good exposure preparing them to face the challenges in the world beyond the college.
This three-pronged approach towards studies and the molding of personality has made learning at KCM interesting, challenging and hopefully fun!
