The KCM Difference
We differ from other colleges in the country in important ways. The differences - our focus, personal attention, group learning environment, depth and breadth of curriculum, excellence of faculty, and the strength of corporate relationships - derived from our guiding principles and values shape our academic programs and all other important strategic decisions that we make.
Focus: We offer and concentrate on only two academic programs: BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration) and BBIS (Bachelor of Business Information Systems). This allows us to focus our efforts and resources on each and every program, student, faculty and employee, and on every action we take.
Personal attention: With an annual enrollment of 132 students for BBA and BBIS classes, and a team of about 50 faculty, we are able to give personal attention to every student. Our small student body enables us to provide unmatched access to faculty, corporate houses and others. In fact, our small student body and homely environment also make it possible to create a community that encourages intense interaction between and among faculty, students and staff, thus building interpersonal skills for leadership.
Group learning environment: We place high significance on group work and team approach in the learning process. Our students learn from each other through sharing ideas and experiences.
Curriculum: We continuously evaluate and refine our curriculum to ensure its relevance to the constantly changing world of business. Our curriculum emphasizes a rigorous coverage of social sciences, business basics, and depth in key functional areas like marketing, finance, accounting and information systems and technology. It also provides students with opportunity for opting for courses of their choice from among many electives.
Facilities and Services: Right from the beginning, we have been committed to providing excellent facilities and services that help enrich the learning process among students and faculty. The college building, along with other facilities and services, provides plentiful space for studying, research work, group work and socialization.
Further study and career opportunity: At KCM, we do everything possible to facilitate our graduates in their further study or in terms of career opportunity by providing them with appropriate counseling in time, exposing them to leading organizations and their leaders, developing networks with employers and by organizing career oriented seminars.
Corporate relationships: We have maintained very strong relations with more than 60 leading social organizations and corporate houses, and we are committed to deepen these relationships. Our relationships provide students with opportunity for internship and job placement. It is also a source of visiting faculty who bring their experiences and practices to classrooms.
